Ice Cream Invitations- Cozy Designs

Another Birthday
invitation I designed.
This one is for an ice-cream

party for Kinley. In case you can't read the font it says:
"I scream! You scream! We all scream for ice cream at Kinley's Third Birthday Party!"
Here's the "scoop": Flavor of the Month: Kiwi Kinley KreamWhere: Kinley's Ice Cream Shoppe. This is the front on the left and the back on the right. It will print on beautiful card stock with a linen texture. Yummy!

Dabbling with Design...

I've been dabbling with design. This is a 5x5 card I made for a birthday invite. Came out really cute. I am working on an ice cream party invite too, can't wait to share that one its super cute and fun!

Party On...

Cooper had so much fun walking around and being "free". Here are some shots of him roaming around, being independent. I made a little story board of him.

Our good friend H. turned 5 today and we had a great time at his train party. It was outdoors, a little windy and a bit cold, but the kids had a blast! There was a train ride, bouncers to jump in, pizza and cake! Fun time for all. Here are some shots I took...

Parker and Maddie on the train ride.
Griffin on the train, look at Parker's face in the background, she was so happy to ride over and over again. Thank you Mr. John for not kicking her off the ride! ha!
Carson taking a turn on the tractor that pulled the train. Our little farmer!
Griffin being silly
Woodlands Mama's. These are my friends from the Woodlands who also moved to Austin when we did. Tiff, Kristi & I, oh and baby Caden of course. :)

Too Good To Be True

(notice in the video Cooper yelling "NO NO NO" and "Wa, wa, wa" (water) I was telling him no to see if he would repeat me, its so funny to hear him talk. His voice is so sweet, even if he is yelling NO) Also notice how wet his face is.

We knew it was too good to be true... Us having a calm, sweet, innocent little baby. Lately our sweet, calm baby has turned into a curious Toddler who gets into everything. We've just been wondering what has taken him so long! The other 3 kids were into things much faster than this. We were starting to think he was really going to stay so good natured. ha!

Cooper's new favorite things to get into:

1. He loves to go into our bathroom and turn on the tub full blast. By the time I find him the tub is quickly filling, all the towels and everything he can find around him is in the tub and he is soaking wet. This happens, oh 5 times a day. ugh!

2. Rick caught him putting his sippy cup in the toilet while saying "bye bye" over and over again.

3. After he was done with dinner tonight he came over to the table, climbed up onto the chair and onto the table within seconds. We've never seen that happen before!

Rick's words tonight "He is turning into one of them!!"

Way too Yucky...

Tonight I was leaving with Parker to go to the grocery store. Griffin came in and asked for a hug & a kiss from me. And to my great surprise he asked her too. So he and she gave a big hug and then she puckered up her lips and he said "Sissy, not on the lips that's WAY too yucky!"
It was SO funny!!
The older 3 kids fight almost all day long. Mainly Carson & Parker. They are oil and water and can barley get along at all. I should wear b&w stripes because I feel like a full time referee. BUT when they are separated all they can do is talk about each other. For example, we were at the store tonight and these are some of the things out of Parker's mouth.
"The boys are reading their chapter book right now"
"I want to see the brothers"
Funny how sweet she is when they aren't around. She was such a doll. Here are some funny things she said at the store "Mommy, is that on sale?" "Mommy can we buy that? I LOVE those Dora snacks" "Mommy I think the whole store is on sale" "I only like manilla (vanilla) yogurt, everyday Griffin wants peach, and I no like peach I only like manilla".
Its fun to have some one on one time. Rick said the boys were much nicer too without Parker around. I think its true, Three's a crowd.

Little Miss Bella...

Sweet Sweet Bella! For her 5th Birthday her mommy & daddy bought her a session with me. This is my second session with their family, so it was really fun to work with her again. She LOVES to take pictures and is really good at being my little model. This little girl is precious, she and I had a great time together.
Bella picked the music to the slide show :)
(funny because I just picked the same thing for the last family, great minds think alike!)

Soccer Stars

Today was the last game of the season. Our team this year was awesome and won every game, even though we don't really count wins or looses at this point. They worked really well together.
The boys did GREAT at their game today. Carson scored 3 goals and Griffin 2. Carson loves to score an be right in the middle of the game. We noticed this season that Griffin naturally wants to play defence. He loves waiting in the back and passing the ball to the team members, and getting the ball from the other team. Who knows he may be a great goalie one day. :)
We are looking forward to bringing the sports outdoors again. We will start T-Ball at the end of March.
Here is our sweet little team missing 2 of our friends.
Carson in the blue with the ball.
Griffin proud of his new medal
Carson looked forward to this medal since we started in Jan.
And of course I had to add one of my sweet Parker, who was a great little cheerleader all season.

The Big Bad Wolf

Grammy called this week... When I got off the phone Carson was asking who it was etc.. so I told him "Grammy called to let us know we have a condo to stay in when we are in FL" Carson's response. "OH MOMMY!! I hope its made out of brick so the Big Bad Wolf won't blow it down". He was totally serious, that is what was so funny. And we have not read that story in months. This just came out of no where.

Bun in the Oven Session

These are our sweet friends we knew back in The Woodlands. She and I were pregnant with our first babies that are only 10 days apart, same doctor, same church etc... They moved to Austin about a year after us and we have enjoyed having some "old friends around". They are such a sweet family and have a new baby boy on the way. So we did a maternity session with the family and the big brother to be. Which by the way is model material, he was amazing as you will see in all the photos. Thanks H for being so great and going with the flow! There are so many great ones these are just my personal top favorites. If you'd like to see more click the link for the slide show and turn up your volume!

Grammy Runs The Austin 1/2 Marathon!

While here, my amazing mother, also known as "Grammy" to the kids, ran the Austin 1/2 Marathon. She has been a triathlete for as long as I can remember. This is not her first 1/2 marathon she has done several in FL including one through Disney world. She has also run the NYC full marathon twice. She is also an avid bike rider, besides all the races she does in FL she has followed the Tour De France with a friend two years ago.

How cool is this medal they gave her? I love the guitar theme.

Big Talker

The Bathroom "Talker"
Funny story from our night at the Oasis.
Rick had taken the boys to the restroom during dinner. Basically here is a run down of how things went during their potty break:
Boys are all doing their business when Carson turns to the man doing his business next to him and says "I'm Carson and I'm turning 5, we had a camo party at Chuck E. Cheese and I LOVE to go fishing with Grandaddy and on and on he went talking to this man who was trying to pee. Poor Rick just wanted to hide from embarrassment.
So about 15 min. later we were walking out and my mom says to a couple of men eating (we had no idea who they were) "boy, I bet you all are happy to see us go" (because the kids were being kids playing, talking loud etc)
And the man says "You wouldn't believe the conversation I just had in the bathroom with that little guy!"
It was so funny!
That's our Carson, trying to make friends everywhere we go!

Beautiful Austin

Bet you didn't know Austin looks like this... For all you "out of towners"
We are not just hicks in the sticks out here in Texas! ha!

On Monday night we went to the Oasis. Our house is only 3 miles from this restaurant and you can see some of these views from our street, which is really spectacular! We tend to go there when we have guests. It is definitely the place to bring your out of town visitors. The views are incredible. There are 40? decks on the cliff that over looks Lake Travis and it seats 2000 people. It looks more like Southern California than Austin, TX to me. On Friday nights there are different bands that play there. Its really fun and great for the kids.

The entrance to the Oasis. Very beautiful with lots of plants & statues

We live just to the right of this shot.
Rick and Cooper enjoying the amazing weather

Aunt Jill & Parker at dinner
At sunset they ring a bell and everyone stands up to clap & take pictures.

A Whole Hand Old

Happy 5th Birthday to our boys!! Here are some shots I took of them at sunset on Monday night
(Carson on the left, Grffin on the right)

Both boys are incredibly smart and are 1/2 way through their Kindergarten year. The can tell you all the vowels & consonants, what a twin consonant is, a twin vowel, how many syllables are in a word and are reading the level one books.
Five Things about Big Griff:
1. Griffin LOVES to build and build and build.
He spends a lot of his time building his geo trax & Lincoln logs.
2. He is very good a soccer and has scored several goals at each game.
3. Griffin is content to stay home and goes with the flow very well.
4. Winter is NOT his favorite season. He LOVES summer and is an excellent swimmer. He has been known to cross the lap pool back and forth with no rest in between at 3 yrs old.
5. When Rick took the boys to learn to ride with no training wheels two weeks ago, Griffin got right on the bike and rode away. There was no teaching involved.
Five Things about Carson:
1. Carson loves to talk, really to anyone who will listen. We call him our reporter.
He always gives Rick the ENTIRE run down of our day when he gets home.
2. His memory is the best I've ever heard of at such a young age. He can tell you things we did in exact detail of when he was 2 yrs old.
He always reminds us of where certain toys came from, what event etc...
3. Carson is an outside boy, who would stay out 24-7 if we let him.
He loves sports and seems to be good at everything he tries
4. Carson can also ride his bike with no training wheels.
He also took very little lesson, but still needs help with the start off.
5. Carson is very loving and affectionate. He loves to curl up in your lap and snuggle
